Exciting news! One of my Everglades photographs was recently selected as a top 10 finalist in the 2009 Canon photography in the parks contest. Now I'm chasing the grand prize.

The good news is that the winner is selected by public voting (today through Nov. 23rd). I would certainly appreciate if you would take the time to review the entries and select your favorite. If it happens to be mine, then all the better...may the best photograph win.

Note: When you click the link below you must vote in the Teen group before proceeding to the Adult category where you'll find my dusk photograph (Last Light on the Pinelands - shown above) featuring a hurricane-damaged, but still thriving pine tree.

Edit: Oh, and I should mention that by voting you are actually entered into a contest for a free Canon EOS Rebel T1i/EF-S 18-55mm IS kit. Sounds awesome! It's also come to my attention that voting seems to be limited to U.S. visitors only...that sucks!
