This guy was so much fun to photograph....my first wild badger. I found him out on the shortgrass prairie south of Oakley, KS (Smoky Valley Ranch). He was extremely curious and would stretch his neck and body up high to get a good view of me. This was taken after sunset, using ISO 1600 (1/100 @ 700mm). Good technique on the tripod helped, but the ability to use ISO 1600 and 3200 on the 5D MII was critical.

Wow, 1600. That's amazing. Great shot! Such expression in his face, too. He kind of looks like the grumpy neighbor I had growing up.
