Land of Sunsetsby ~juddpatterson

Breaking through the very bottom layer of clouds, the sunset glowed for a few minutes. I literally had to run a herd of cows out of this scene. As I was setting up, the curious herd began to assemble and run my way. I ran right at them...yelling and waving my hands. They retreated a bit, but I could tell they would soon return. Cows are very curious by nature and a photographer out on the prairie is just way too tempting. So within a matter of minutes they were back in my scene again. I repeated my frantic chasing routine a couple more times and then finally left them to their grassland.

It's like the sun's rays are giving the daisies a goodnight kiss before setting.

A great shot you took. I love the story of the cows.

Just looking at it make me miss the Southwest. I've visited there many many times. I know there's no big mountains in this pic but it has hills so you get the picture (no pun intended
