A Great Blue Heron spears an exotic walking catfish in Everglades National Park.
No Escape by *juddpatterson is a great capture and one of many excellent images you'll find in this deviant's gallery who works for the National Park Service (I imagine that gives him great photo opportunities each and every day). (
It's pretty disturbing how many invasive, introduced species are spreading throughout the Everglades and South Florida. On a more positive note, this is a fascinating closeup on nature taking action! Go Heron!

I didn't realize the Heron clamped onto it. I thought the catfish wrapped itself around the beak...so my first thought was "WHOA, NINJA CATFISH!", haha! Wow, that's a crazy awesome view, too. It's awesome that you get to capture moments like these in such detail!
